This was a project completed with Methuen Construction, a large general contractor in the hydroelectric, renewable energy, water treatment, and power industries. The project was to construct a new pump station on Graf Road in Newburyport, MA. The pump station dwells over 24 feet into the ground, featuring a base slab, 2’ thick 24’ tall walls, and a shored ceiling slab. We started the project just after Thanksgiving 2017 and took 6 weeks to complete despite brutal New England winter temperatures. This project featured 1,500 sq. ft. of intricate shored slab and 450 feet of shored beams as well as custom forming from shoring up to accommodate several elevations. We met all stringent specifications, precisely located pipe penetrations with specific orientations, and used the DOKA forming system and our own crane to set.
