This job was completed with Callahan Construction Managers. The project was a renovation of an old post office building – a very unique job which required a dynamic team to do flatwork, vertical formwork, infills, stairs, sidewalks, terrace and courtyard exposed finishes. This was a very unique job that had our dynamic team running from one side of the 395,000 sq. ft. building to the other – placing a garage slab on grade one day and jumping to a finished terrace sidewalk and stairs the next. There were 800 feet of footings, 1,000 feet of walls, form liner wall up to 16 feet tall, 110 ten-foot piers and column encasements, 50,000 sq. ft. of shored deck slabs, 500 feet of shored beams, 15,000 sq. ft. of sidewalks and wheelchair ramps, and 15,000 sq. ft. of slab on grade. Even though there were upwards of 40 change orders, the project was completed on-time and of great quality.
