This water treatment plant concrete construction project was with Kinsmen Corporation, who specialize in water treatment facilities and pump stations. The project was technically challenging considering the tight specifications required to avoid water leaks, the precise locating of pipe penetrations, the confined spaces to work inside the structure, and the multiple elevations of shored beams and slabs. The structure features 4,500 sq. ft. of structural base slab, a 3,000 sq. ft. topping slab, 550 feet of walls of varying heights up to 15’ tall, and 4,200 sq. ft. of shored slab and beams. The 4200 sq. ft. of shored slabs were intricate with different elevation beams and built up slabs, slab depressions, and detailed carpentry work. This project is expected to be finished Spring of 2018 when we return to form and place 1,500 sq. ft. of second-floor shored slab.
